We are pleased to announce the 16th Nuclear Physics Workshop "Maria and Pierre Curie" organized by the Department of Theoretical Physics of the Maria Curie-Sklodowska University (UMCS), Lublin, and the Institut Pluridisciplinaire Hubert Curien (IPHC), Strasbourg. The central subject of the conference is


"Superheavy and exotic nuclei"


The proceedings of the Workshop will appear in a special volume of the International Journal of Modern Physics E (Vol. 19) at the beginning of 2010.


The main topics which will be discussed during the Workshop are:
Seminars will be devoted to both theoretical and experimental problems of nuclear phenomena.

The Conference Location

The conference center is the "Dom Pracy Tworczej SDP" hotel located at 17, Malachowskiego Street, close to the Great Market Square in Kazimierz Dolny. The town is a very picturesque place upon the Vistula river, around 120 km south of Warsaw. For additional information see: here.

Payment & Additional Information

The Workshop begins on Wednesday (Sep. 23th) in the late afternoon and ends on Sunday (Sep. 27th) at noon. The number of participants is limited to around 80.

The conference fee of 450 EUR covers full lodging, boarding and publication costs. For early payment, before June 30th, a reduction of 50 EUR applies. Single rooms are available at an additional charge of 70 EUR.
