We are pleased to announce the 18th Nuclear Physics Workshop "Maria and Pierre Curie" organized by the Department of Theoretical Physics of the Maria Curie-Sklodowska University (UMCS), Lublin, in collaboration with the Institut Pluridisciplinaire Hubert Curien (IPHC), Strasbourg.
The Workshop will be held on 28 September - 02 October 2011 in Kazimierz Dolny, Poland. The general theme of the Workshop is:
"Nuclear Collective Phenomena"
A list of topics to be discussed at the conference includes:
- nuclear vibrations and rotations;
- large amplitude collective motions;
- symmetries in nuclear collective models;
- algebraic description of collective motions;
- microscopic approaches to collective motion;
- collective phenomena in nuclear reactions;
- collective states and nuclear deformations.
1.06.2011 - NEW
The oral presentations, after the usual refereeing procedure managed by the editorial board of IJMP will be published as the regular volume of the International Journal of Modern Physics E, probably in the first quarter of 2012.

The Conference Location
The conference center is the "Dom Pracy Tworczej SDP" hotel located at 17, Malachowskiego Street, close to the Great Market Square in Kazimierz Dolny. The town is a very picturesque place upon the Vistula river, around 120 km south of Warsaw and 50 km from Lublin. For additional information see: here.
Payment & Additional Information
The Workshop begins on Wednesday (Sep. 28th) in the afternoon (3 p.m.) and ends on Sunday (Oct. 2nd) at noon. The number of participants is limited to around 60.
The conference fee of 490 EUR covers full lodging (2 beds room), boarding and publication costs. For early payment, before June 30th, a reduction of 30 EUR applies. Single rooms are available at an additional charge of 70 EUR.
