We announce that the 30th Nuclear Physics Workshop (NPW), organized by the Institute of Physics of the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin, will be held in Kazimierz Dolny, Poland. The conference is connected with the celebrations of the 50th anniversary of the Polish-French COPIN cooperation. The leading topic of the conference is
The heritage of Maria and Pierre Curie in contemporary nuclear physics.
The Workshop will start on 23rd September (Monday) late afternoon and will last till 28th September (Saturday) early morning. We plan to organize four days of plenary sessions as well as an optional poster session to allow the younger participants to present their recent achievements.
Topics of the Workshop:
- Nuclear fission and other decay reactions
- Heavy ion collisions
- Effective nuclear interactions
- Symmetries and symmetry breaking in nuclear physics
- Nuclear structure:
– collective modes in nuclei
– isomeric states
– nuclei far from stability
