We are pleased to announce the 30th Nuclear Physics Workshop organized by the Department of Theoretical Physics of Maria Curie-Skłodowska University (UMCS) in Lublin in cooperation with the Lublin Branch of the Polish Physical Society and the Nuclear Physics Section of the Polish Physical Society. The leading topic of this edition is:

The heritage of Maria and Pierre Curie in contemporary nuclear physics.

Heavy ion collisions
Effective nuclear interactions
Symmetries and symmetry breaking in nuclear physics
Nuclear structure:
– collective modes in nuclei
– isomeric states
– nuclei far from stability

SPECIAL SESSION

On Friday (September 27, 2024) the celebrations of the 50th anniversary of the Polish-French cooperation on nuclear physics, coordinated presently by IN2P3 from France and by the COPIN Consortium from Poland, will take place.

The introductory overview of the cooperation will be given by Prof. Marcella Grasso, Deputy Director of IN2P3, while the session will be chaired by Prof. Adam Maj (IFJ PAN), the chair of the COPIN Consortium.

Lectures of this special session highlighting selected results of the Polish-French collaborations will be presented by the older and younger generation scientists:

CONFERENCE FEE

The conference fee of 3000 PLN covers full lodging (in single rooms), full board, and conference materials. Payment should be made by bank transfer to the account given below before 31 August.

A reduction of 200 PLN for lodging in double rooms is applied.
The conference fee for accompanying persons in a double room is 2200 PLN.
The reduced conference fee for shorter stays:
2 nights – 1200 PLN
3 nights – 1800 PLN
4 nights – 2400 PLN

Important: To apply the reduced fee, please contact the organisers for details of your arrival and departure of your shortened stay.

Payment should be made before 31 August by a bank transfer to the account given below.

The current exchange rate is 1 EUR = 4.30 PLN. It may vary in time.
