By air to Poland
To get to Poland, we recommend taking a plane to Warsaw. The Frederyk Chopin Airport (Okęcie Airport WAW) has connections with most big European airports.. The other airport is Warsaw-Modlin Airport (WMI), where Ryanair operates.
Alternatively, one may fly to Lublin Airport (LUZ), but it offers only a limited number of regular connections. Lublin Airport is located only 10 km east of Lublin.

By train
One has to go first from Warsaw Chopin Airport to the railway station in the city centre: “Warszawa Centralna”, “Warszawa Srodmiescie”, “Warszawa Gdańska” or “Warszawa Waschodnia”:
- Suburban train line No. S2, S3 or RL (from station „Warszawa Lotnisko Chopina” to „Warszawa Śródmieście”, „Warszawa Centralna” or “Warszawa Wschodnia”). If you get off at Warszawa Śródmieście, you need to walk to the main railway station through an underground passage (5 min) to Warszawa Centralna to continue the journey. See also the train station at the airport
- City bus No. 175 (from bus stop „Lotnisko Chopina Przyloty 02” to „Dworzec Centralny 01”).
- A taxi costs around 50 PLN (~10 EUR). Omit taxi drivers inviting to a taxi INSIDE arrivals hall! Take an official taxi IN FRONT OF arrivals hall (recommend taxi corporations: ELE Taxi). One may also call Uber, Bolt, or FreeNow taxi by the mobile app.
A trip to Warszawa Centralna takes around 30 minutes, depending on the chosen transport and traffic. Trains to Warszawa Wschodnia go 35 minutes.
See also public transport on the Warsaw Web page. Single-fare 75-minute ticket for a suburban train or bus costs 4.40 PLN (1 EUR) and can be purchased from vending machines at a bus stop, entrance to the train station, and sometimes on board. The ticket must be validated on board.
From Warszawa Modlin Airport to the Warsaw center, one may take a bus+train or shuttle bus. The trip lasts around 1 hour.
From Warsaw, one has to take a train to Puławy Miasto station. It will take 1h10 to get to Puławy.
Due to track renovation, only some interregional trains stop at Warszawa Centralna. Therefore we recommend taking a suburban train to Warszawa Wschodnia.
Check the detailed timetable here. A detailed timetable will be available in September.
From Puławy Miasto, one can reach Kazimierz Dolny by taxi or city bus #12.
