Quadrupole excitations of even-even nuclei in the relativistic mean field theory

Using the self-consistent relativistic mean field theory we would like to evaluate the inertial functions and the collective potential for the quadrupole vibrations of even-even nuclei. Such investigation is very important when one would like to describe the excited states of nuclei far from stability, where the extrapolation of the usual macroscopic + macroscopic + cranking models is rather uncertain.
