The isoscalar coupling scheme in nuclear collective excitations

The possible influence of proton--neutron coupling on the low--lying excitations of even nuclei was investigated in the frame of interacting boson model containing both isoscalar and isovector bosons. The different proton valence shells were taken into account up to $h_{\frac{11}{2}}$.
