Structure of Superheavy Nuclei with the Gogny force
An overview of the structure and stability properties of superheavy
nuclei obtained from self-consistent Hartree-Fock-Bogoliubov employing
the Gogny force will be presented. Results about shell gaps, fission
barriers and stability against alpha-decay will be discussed and
compared with experimental data and other theoretical approaches.
In particular recent studies of $\alpha$-decay chains involving odd
nuclides will be presented.
